Changing Lives Appeal

Fundraise for us using Virgin Money GivingEach year in the UK, 24,000 young people under 18 are treated for drug or alcohol abuse. Drugs wreck lives. The younger the child, the greater the danger of lifelong damage.

Drugs and alcohol don’t just destroy individuals. They tear families apart and impoverish whole communities.

Drug use by our young people continues to be amongst the highest in Western Europe. Binge drinking is constantly in the headlines – and for good reason. It costs the UK a staggering £2.7 billion a year – and many young drinkers are underage.

We want to raise £1.2m over the next three years to change young people’s attitudes to drugs and alcohol. We want to help young people reject peer pressure to abuse their minds and bodies and instead make healthier choices that will have an impact on the rest of their lives. The Changing Lives Appeal will enable us to:

  • help schools and local community groups to run top quality drug prevention projects
  • advise policy makers and commissioners of the best ways to reach young people through evidenced based programmes that work.

Support us by fundraising, donating or contacting us to let us know how you can help.
